Description

Mattek Permacell cell culture inserts have a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) membrane with a pore size of 0.4 µm and are used in a 24-well plate for cell attachment, cell culture, cell differentiation, drug transport, and permeability studies. These inserts have a high pore density and are clear in culture, which allows for visualization of cells via brightfield and fluorescent microscopy. 

Permacell inserts are advanced cell culture devices used for the growth and differentiation of cells. Permacell inserts are sterile, single-use, individual 9mm inserts that can be used in 6-, 12-, and 24-well culture plate formats. The inserts are uniquely functional as either standing or hanging inserts, allowing researchers increased flexibility when designing studies. Various membrane types allow researchers to select inserts for specific needs, such as cell attachment, culture, differentiation, drug transport/permeability, and imaging studies.

These 9 mm inserts come packaged, pre-inserted, in a 24-well plate.
