MatTek’s NHEKs are isolated from neonatal (NHEK-CRY-NEO) or adult (NHEK-CRY-AD) donor tissue and cryopreserved as primary cells.  When cultured in MatTek’s NHEK-GM Growth Medium according to MatTek’s NHEK-CRY protocols, our epidermal keratinocytes are guaranteed to have ≥ 75% viability upon thaw and to produce ≥ 15 population doublings.  NHEKs are characterized by their cobblestone morphology and expression of cytokeratins.

Primary Human Epidermal Keratinocytes cultured in NHEK-GM were stained for Keratin 14 (pink), Phalloidin (blue) and Ki67 (yellow)
