Ashland, MA, USA – MatTek Corporation is proud to announce renewal from ISO 9001:2008 to the newly revised standard, ISO 9001:2015, at its EU subsidiary MatTek In Vitro Life Science Laboratories in Bratislava, Slovakia. ISO 9001 is the world’s most widely recognized quality management standard and helps organizations to meet the expectations and needs of their customers. The new accreditation was obtained from the Slovak Association for Quality and Management Systems, Ltd. (SKQS).
The ISO 9001:2015 certification applies to all processes and activities of MatTek IVLSL, including the large offering of MatTek’s industry-leading Glass Bottom Dishes they began distributing to the European market earlier this year. The European facility has also recently expanded its production to include the EpiIntestinal tissue model, a human 3D in vitro small intestinal tissue model with the ability to evaluate toxicity, metabolism, drug absorption and compound efficacy. The EU certified site includes more than 500 m2 of GMP-compliant production laboratories, a training laboratory, and an R&D unit.
