MatTek Corporation is a world leader in the emerging field of bio-engineered human tissue constructs. MatTek produces skin, eye, tracheal/bronchial and other human cell-derived organotypic tissues for use by international cosmetic, personal care, household product, pharmaceutical and biotech companies, as well as by academic researchers. MatTek's 3D tissue models enable genomic, proteomic, and drug delivery/discovery research not possible with traditional animal, monolayer cell culture or clinical test procedures.

Experience with sterile technique is a plus, but not required. Over a 1 year training period, candidates will learn to perform the numerous steps necessary to produce MatTek’s tissues. QUALITY ASSURANCE ASSISTANT

The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of document control practices, as well as experience with GLP or GMP compliance.
Responsibilities:
    * Manage the preparation, review, finalization, approval, and circulation of controlled documents, guidelines and other related documents issued by MatTek. In addition, maintain the periodic review of the controlled documents to ensure documents define current practice.
    * Assist in development and preparation of SOPs and other controlled documents within applicable GLP and GMP documentation guidelines
    * Provide assistance with department/project teams related to technical writing, review and proofreading of new documentation created to meet the GLP and GMP requirements.

    * Participate in technology transfer projects.
    * Assist in scheduling, preparation, and delivery of training for MatTek employees and the maintenance of training records
    * Participate in GLP and GMP internal and external audits assuring processes are in place for the documentation of MatTek’s compliance with relevant regulations

Qualifications:
    * Education
          o Undergraduate degree or 1-2 years related experience (preferably from a biotech, pharmaceutical or other regulated industry); or equivalent combination of education and experience
    * Skills
          o Ability to manage tasks with competing priorities or deadlines
          o Ability to understand/ implement written and verbal instructions to all levels of the organization
          o Excellent documentation, organizational and writing skills
          o Technical expertise in the use of various Microsoft Office software; especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
          o Detail-oriented
